YOU are Welcome here - Please Don't Be Shy to Post

Re: YOU are Welcome here - Please Don't Be Shy to Post
I'm sorry you are still struggling with things but I think it's understandable. A lot of the people on this forum have been through some kind of trauma and I can relate. I pray that you find encouragement and the help you need. I agree that current world news is distressing.

Riverrebel, I have had to learn leave the things I have no control over in God's capable hands, and focus on what I do have a little control over, myself.
The more time I spend with my best friend, Jesus. The less the bad news effects me. There is a scripture somewhere that tells us to focus on that which is good and pure. Most of us focus on the things we perceive as bad.

It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.

Hey Riverrebel, I remember you! How good to see you again! I'm sorry to see that you are still battling though. Colleen (Doggie) is spot on - let Papa handle what you can't.

I wanted to thank you for sharing your vulnerable feelings with us. Childhood traumas can be especially hard to sort out. I will share if you are looking for healing, you will find it. Papa is very "tuned in " to His children who seek restoration from deep pain. I also pray that will you will find peace. Thank you for reaching out to me.

Welcome to the forum, kathoppel. May God bring you healing and peace. Please stick around and talk to us on the other threads too.

Kathoppel, yes I have experienced so much of His healing myself.

Perfectionist performance dies hard in this one. I need to live more mindful and grateful, but something is holding me back. Another of life's mysteries.
May we all come to know Papa as we are known... and see ourselves as He sees us!

Hi Mike, I pray that you don't keep feeling held back.

I've found that by surrendering to God, He does most the work. I'll admit that sometimes His pruning can be a bit uncomfortable.
When I tried to change myself out was just painful and never lasted, but asking and allowing Him to change me has brought some lasting changes. I like what He is doing with me.

Since leaving the IC I feel like I've been in free-fall. So I'm not pushing any agenda. I tend to "hear" silence from Papa. I often wonder if hindsight is where we see His fingerprints?
Papa is especially fond of you and so am I,
