I worked in political campaigns from the age of five. I have voted in almost every election since I was 18. I missed a couple school board and one city election.
I have seen the positive and the very negative sides of politics.
It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.

I think politics tend to work better on the local level in the smaller populations where people are kept more accountable, I think the bigger the population base the more the politician thinks he can get way with.

I have voted in every election since I turned 18. It's compulsory here but I would have anyway. I haven't had particular involvement in politics.

It seems like the main federal parties have become more similar to each other in recent years and their main aim seems to be to make rich people richer and not care about the poor. I agree with you Teresa that local politics often achieves more.

The capitol of our state, Montgomery, is about 200 miles from here, so we don't get down there very often. It was different when we lived in Atlanta.

That's a good idea, Pit. I'm not on Facebook though.

I don't like Facebook, from what I've seen of it. It invades a person's privacy and looks hard to use. I would have trouble knowing what to write there. Also, I hate the way you have to keep scrolling down and waiting for more to load and you don't know how much there will be or have any quicker way of getting to long ago posts/pictures.
