Do you believe wholeheartedly that there will be a second coming of Jesus Christ - and if so that HE will appear in such an obvious manner that absolutely cannot be refuted by the worst of disbelievers?
I do believe wholeheartedly that there will be a second coming of Jesus Christ. I'm sure it will be obvious to all believers but I'm not sure if it will be obvious to non-believers or not.

Did you go to Sunday School as a child or not?

I agree with Cathy on the return of Jesus Christ, although at some time everyone will acknowledge that he is Lord. Every knee shall now and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
As far as being a good listener, I think that most people believe that they are good listeners. I'm no different. I pray that I can hear what people are really saying and that the Holy Spirit will give me the wisdom to answer if an answer is needed, and clamp my mouth shut if out is not.

As a child I went to Sunday School but not to a Christian church so we didn't learn any of the bible stories.

What is your favorite book in the bible?

Mine is the gospel of John.
It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.

RE: Have I given anybody a copy of The Shack
I have not.

Did you go to Sunday School as a child or not?
I didn't...but I was an altar boy during 4th grade catholic School
I enjoyed that immensely. Whoever got to ring the bells was considered the "lucky" one for that Mass.

What is your favorite book in the bible?
Gulp...I have never read the entire Bible and thus cannot choose a favorite.
From both of your question answers and comments I think that I am the less religious person here...I mean you guys can quote from the Bible and say stuff like Jesus Christ is the Lord...which is totally wonderful and fine with me...but I'm not that into it. I hope you are not offended.

RE: Second coming of Christ - I am more inclined to feel that it will not happen...than I am that it will.
For whatever it's worth I do very much enjoy movies about Christ. I certainly recognize Him as a very special person and really liked how He was portrayed in the Shack movie. If he is coming...what is he waiting for?
The world is a big mess in many aspects with all the atrocities that take place. The world could sure use Him now or it's just gonna keep getting worse and worse...especially with the threat of nuclear war upon us.

Do you play board games and if so which is your favorite?

My favorite board game used to be chess but after having brain damage I think I prefer Risk.

The bible explains why Jesus waits to return. He wants to give more a chance to accept his gift of grace. I also don't consider myself religious. I have a personal relationship with the trinity. I find most religions, including Christian religions, to be full of laws and restrictions not focusing on relationship with God.

As a child were you allowed to explore, or told to stay close to home?

Ballet, swimming, and tennis. We also had ice skating but it was just fun.

If you found a bury treasure, what would you want it to be?

re: Do you play board games and if so which is your favorite?
Scrabble my favorite. I also like Monopoly but it can take too long.

re: Were you sporty as a child or not?
I used to love to run but I never did track and field

re: If you found a bury treasure, what would you want it to be?
If it had to be other than cash...I'd choose gold, diamonds and other valuable gems and hopefully there'd be LOTS of it!
I'd use it to :

1. Help Hurricane and Earthquake victims...especially those who did not have home or auto insurance
coverage.
2. Donate to the ASPCA and similar organizations
3. Buy a new house and cars for my family
4. Invest for my children's (and grandson now) future
5. Give a little money to total strangers I would meet at random who would not know who I was

PS> I noticed not one repoly to my new thread inviting visitors to post...yet people HAVE come to the site.
Wonder why they won't join in the conversations.

Were you a poor - fair- good -excellent student throughout your schooling?

I didn't start out as a good student but I got a lot better over the years.

Did you like learning at school or not?

I was an excellent student. Partly because school was my safety zone and partly because it was easy for me. I was one of the lucky ones that learned the way they taught, so yes I liked learning at school, or any where else for that matter.

If I found buried treasure I think I would like it to be ancient manuscripts.

If you could paint pictures, what would you want to paint?

I would like to paint the sea, especially when it's bright blue on a sunny day.

Are you more arty or crafty or neither?
