Flying dreams

Post by Flyingnell » Mon Mar 19, 2018 11:36 pm

Who grew up with flying dreams just like those described in ch 8? Did they become less frequent with age? In ch 8 the flying ends when he is stuck in the mud unable to help Missy. Was the intent that he could not fly with “the great sadness “ present?

If memory serves the flying dreams have to do with our sense of freedom. As adults I think we buy into the lie that we cannot fly (figuratively, or do other impossible things). Of course this is only as much as we believe and are in relationship with Love.

May we all come to know Papa as we are known... and see ourselves as He sees us!

I remember those frying dreams vividly as a child, and remember how alive they made me feel when I woke up. That being said, I haven't had once since I was a child!

I also remember having vivid flying dreams as a child but I don't remember having them as an adult.

I don't recall ever having flying dreams as a child but have had several after becoming a Christian.
It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.

Hi Gals,
Did ya think I fell off the face of the Earth?
I just have not visited here in awhile...but here I am and what a surprise to find this thread because it is very meaningful to me. I have had flying dreams all my life and even as recently as two nights ago.
I was looking out a window and just decided to "take off' which I did through the open window and as I was flying I chose to fly faster...around these buildings. I felt serene and euphoric.

I have "flown" in various ways in my dreams:
Like Superman...just taking off.
Holding onto a balloon or kite
In a hang-glider or aircraft of various sizes.
(Note: Actually I am a flight simulation pilot in real life)
Holding onto a towel and letting the wind blow into it like a sail as I fly around the beach up in the sky.
Hope you are well! :)
