Welcome to the forum, Monette. I'm glad you got a lot out of the book. Have you seen the movie? I hope you will hang around and get to know us a bit on the other threads.

Welcome Monette,
What was your favorite part of the book? I find that my favorite part changes each time I've read it.
It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.

Hi folks...I'm Ade, I live in Belfast NI, I'm an ex cop, now working for the Northern Ireland civil service. Been divorced twice, and hoping to get married again! I've been a Christian most of my life, learned some difficult truths about myself - still learning.
I go to a great church, hoping to bring revival to East Belfast...I play bass in a budding worship group (debut 1Feb 2018 :)
Happy to discuss anything and share.

I hope this isn't too much info. :)

Hi again, Ade. Thanks for sharing about yourself. It certainly isn't too much to share! I'm glad you're a Christian, still learning and playing bass in a budding worship group.

I'm Cathy from Australia. I have chronic fatigue syndrome so I'm not working. My twin sister was recently diagnosed with cancer, so things are hard.

Ouch. I have a friend who suffers like yourself. I know it can very debilitating but she is a Christian and daily asks God to help her through her day - she has an 18 year old daughter with aspergers so days can be challenging.
I'm really sorry to hear about your sister - has she accepted Christ?

Thanks, Ade. Yes, Sally is a Christian too. I know that being the parent of someone with Asperger's is very challenging.

Howdy Ade, I'm Colleen from Colorado, USA. It is very nice to meet you.
I'm in a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. Learning from him daily.
I lost my right leg below the knee five years ago after an eight month fight against a flesh eating infection.
It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.

Hi Ade, welcome to the forum. I'm Peni, from South Africa. Belfast is a place I have always wanted to visit!

I'm Mike, from the USA. The closest I've been to Belfast is Almondsbury (UK). Would love to travel to NI!
May we all come to know Papa as we are known... and see ourselves as He sees us!

Dear Peni, Judy, Carl, Cathy, Teresa, Julia, Barbara, Colleen, Cyndi, Irish, old friends and new, I'm so happy to be here to greet you. It's rusha (Ruth at the Shack), after a gap of 7 years; still praising the Lord! I'm just catching up with news and the new format, but for now I pray you all have a blessed Christmas celebration, and look forward to sharing with you again.
