Okay, this be my thread, aka, litter box!

Cyndi, did you get my PM?

I lost another rat today :( So now I am down to 3. The pups are growing strong and quickly! I must say though, my back is taking strain from sleeping on the couch. Still, it should only be another week or so, then we can start on food.

The cooler weather has started to creep in, and it's lovely!

Peni, why did you call your thread that? :?

I'm really sorry that you lost another rat. I also hope your back is okay from sleeping on the couch. I'm not sure how sleeping on the couch relates to when the pups can eat food. :?

Peni, I like your thread name. Sorry about the rat.
Well you miss them when they're gone.

I called it that because my picture is a cat, lol. I am sleeping on the couch so I don't disturb Andrew during the night when I get up to bottle-feed the pups. Once they are eating, I will be able to just leave a bowl of food in their cage with them, and sleep through the night!

You do indeed Coll, and she was one of my favourites.

I guess also it's a metaphor, in a way. A cats litter box is where it goes to dispel waste. My litter box is also where I can safely go to expel my waste, be that hurts, pains or highlights!

I had a massive scare today. I was busy in the house when I heard my girls barking. It was a "we have found something mum" bark, so I went running out to look. Imagine my absolute horror when faced with a MASSIVE six-foot cobra! It's body was thicker than my leg! Both dogs were harassing it, biting it's tail and trying to bite its head. Every time they did the snake would rear up and extend its hood, signifying it's intent to strike. I was screaming at the dogs, and, although they are normally really good about coming when they are called, they totally ignored me. Eventually it made it's way out of the gate and went next door. I quickly yelled to the neighbors to be on the lookout, and went to check my dogs, who both seemed fine.
I think I was still shaking half an hour later, and my throat was sore from yelling, lol.

That sounds very scary, Peni! I'm so glad you and the dogs are okay.

Thanks Cathy, you and me both! But, of course, I keep seeing snakes everywhere now, LOL!

Do you mean real snakes or imagining them? Either way would be scary.
