Sad. I fell in love with that tree the moment we went to look at the house. I am keeping one of the slices though, and am going to have a table made from it, so part of it will still be part of my life.

Peni, I understand how you feel. I'm glad you can have a table made from part of the tree.

Having a table made is a great idea. Memories are important.

I hope you get your house real soon. Sometimes here once the person gets the money they forget to do the work.

Thanks Cathy.

They are indeed Coll! Irish Georgie actually gave me the idea. As for my house, they only have 1/4 of the money, as I have trust issues, lol. They will get rest when they deliver!

Peni, I'm glad the builders only have 1/4 of the money. They will be much more inspired to do a good job than if they had all the money already. Having trust issues is understandable.

Has your winter set in yet Cathy? It is slowly getting cooler and cooler here, which I am loving!

Peni we had a very mild winter but our spring is making up for it. We had a spring snow storm today and poor Dan got stuck waiting for the highway to reopen. Thankfully it only took them 5 hours to clear it enough for him to get home.

Peni, we are having a very mild Autumn so far, although we have had some cold days and nights. No doubt it will get cold soon. I'm glad you're loving the cooler weather.

I was particularly thinking of you last night because I watched a Dateline documentary about the water shortage in Cape Town. How is the water situation going? Is it any better than it was or is it worse? Has there been any rain at all?
