Peni, I'm sorry your cat is missing. I hope it comes home safe.
Looking forward to pictures of you room when it is finished.
These last few years have given you time to be very close to your father, a blessing in many ways, but makes it harder to let go. my prayers continue to be with you.

Thanks Coll. I'm also having very weird feelings of guilt, because I didn't miss mum like this! I tell you, my head is really doing a number on me, lol!

Thank you for your prayers for my kitty.

Peni, please be kind to yourself. As you said, you spent a lot of time with your dad so it's understandable that you'd miss him so much. Also, it's different when it's the second parent and you have to deal with everything yourself.

Thank you Cathy. You make a lot of sense about the second parent bit!

Thanks, Peni. I think you already have been through enough and you don't need guilt on top of all that.

I agree and that's why it's helpful having other people help you fight it.

Andrew phoned me this morning to say that he was sure he had heard a cat crying under a pile of wood in the driveway that the last tenants had left there. That is also where he saw our cat on Sunday. That is ALSO where I saw that huge snake last! I carefully scratched around the pile, and I'm almost sure I saw the face of a cat (dead), but it's hard to see among all the branches. I am going to call some people to come and take away all the rubbish tomorrow, then I will see if my cat is there or not.

Peni, that's really sad. I hope it's not your cat that's dead. :(
