I had a massive scare today. I was busy in the house when I heard my girls barking. It was a "we have found something mum" bark, so I went running out to look. Imagine my absolute horror when faced with a MASSIVE six-foot cobra! It's body was thicker than my leg! Both dogs were harassing it, biting it's tail and trying to bite its head. Every time they did the snake would rear up and extend its hood, signifying it's intent to strike. I was screaming at the dogs, and, although they are normally really good about coming when they are called, they totally ignored me. Eventually it made it's way out of the gate and went next door. I quickly yelled to the neighbors to be on the lookout, and went to check my dogs, who both seemed fine.
I think I was still shaking half an hour later, and my throat was sore from yelling, lol.
