My daddy died this morning

Oh Peni, I'm so sorry! How are you doing? Sending you a hug.

Thanks Cathy. It's just been such an awful, awful day. When I got to dad this morning the house was all locked up. I banged on the door and windows but nothing happened. So I got my spare keys, and unlocked the front door, but it wouldn't open. There is a bolt on the front door, so I thought that was probably it. I went to the back of the house and put the ladder against the kitchen window and looked in. When I saw that the cat had no food, I knew. So I smashed the window, climbed in, and found dad sitting on the floor against the front door, which is why I couldn't open it.
I couldn't move his body until the police got there, which took 5 hours! And his eyes were open, and it was horrible.
I'm happy for him, just very, very sad.

Oh dear. I wish I could be there with you. I'm so sorry you had to find him that way. I'm praying for you.

Praying that Papa is holding you in his arms giving you comfort.

Peni, that does sound like a really awful day. I'm sorry it ended up like that. May God comfort you and your sister. Will your sister be coming soon? I hope that Andrew is really supportive of you.

Thank you all. Cathy, my sis arrived this morning, but she can only stay until Sunday, because she has to get back for her hubby's funeral. WE ARE GOING TO TRY AND GET AS MUCH OF THE LEGALITIES DONE, AND TRY AND SORT THROUGH THE THINGS IN THE HOUSE. I don't know how far we'll get, but we'll see.

Cathy, Andrew is being a star!

Peni, I'm glad your sister arrived and that Andrew is being a star. I wouldn't want you to have to deal with everything by yourself. I pray you get a lot done while your sister is with you and that God comforts and helps you both.
