I'm sure she really needed this time. She needed your support so she could face her grief. She got a double whammy. I'm glad That you saw what she needed and were able to help her.
Now go enjoy your last few days.

Hi Cathy. I'm doing well, thank you :) I managed to get my foot caught in the electric cable of my fan last week, and ended up breaking my toe, so I'm hobbling around, but other than that, all is well! Our town is about to run out of water, which is going to be challenging to say the least!

Hi Peni, I'm glad you're doing generally well but I'm sorry you broke your toe. I pray it heals well. It's scary that your town is about to run out of water. Do you have plenty of bottled water to get you through? I pray everyone gets by okay.

It's getting rather hard to buy water, as most of the supermarkets are sold out. I went through a lot while my sister was here, so I'm trying to stockpile again now. On the news tonight they said that the taps will be dry by the beginning of April - scary thought!

That is a scary thought. They clearly need to bring in some water from outside and I pray they do. Also, if there's a water shortage, it could be good to stock up on hand sanitiser and other forms of keeping clean (maybe facial wipes?).

Yups, I have all that sorted. I'm mostly worried about how to survive without flushing the loo!

Hmmm, that sounds challenging. I wonder if you could Google it. Or since everyone else will be in the same boat, local people may have ideas.

So far, for those who can't afford to go out and buy a camping/port-a-loo, it seems like other people are just going to be using a bucket, with sawdust inside. Ugh!

We have been getting reports here of the water shortage in Cape Town. Sam heard that people will be allocated a certain amount of water per household per day, which they can go and collect. Have you heard that yourself? That should make things a lot easier. I hope the idea above won't be necessary.
