I'M NEW!
IntimidatingBird:
Hi,
I've just finished reading The Shack and WOW! I love it! So much. It resonates with on so many levels.
A little bit about me, this is the first book I've completed outside of school. I'm 19 years old and I've just completed my first year at University. I live in North-West England and study in North Wales.
I began my 'journey' approximately 5 months ago and since then I've never looked back. And honestly, I'd consider myself reading this book a MAJOR part of my development. I believe his story.
I believe in God fully and I am not religious. I believe this book had a lot of my beliefs and thoughts in. And so much of the information helped me so much, i.e. to forgive people and how God doesn't directly inflict pain, and God isn't the reason there's evil in the world, not that I even believed that, but the book explains it brilliantly. There's always good, but then there's always bad as well.
Humans are humans, and we're given such limited knowledge through education and media, and just our general lives tbh, which makes this kind of story seem unbelievable. But to me it does. I like to trust my intuition and go with it, it tends to be correct most of the time. And when I was introduced to all of this spiritual stuff and this book etc... instead of being doubtful, I just seemed to agree with it without even knowing about it. Like I already knew it was true deep inside. Subconsciously perhaps.
Anyway, that'll do for now. It's a pleasure to be a member and hopefully I'll become a regular poster.
Thanks for reading,
Matt.

Hi Bird, Welcome. I suspect you alrready know this but here I go. 11 Years ago I ran into an All Powerful, Kind, and Loving God. I threw myself at him and he has held me ever since. I want to say "the water is wonderful"." Come on in."

Okay, now, do tell - why do you live in England but study in Wales? I absolutely LOVE Wales!
