NaomiStar:
Yes Diegito, his name is Oakley and he is a two year old spoiled rotten Maltese. ;) Since we use our pets in our homeschool to learn endless academic lessons we also own two chihuahuas, one chinchilla, one love bird, two fish tanks and our latest addition is a dwarf winter white hamster. If it was up to my daughters, we would probably run a shelter but for now I'm only allowing a small "petting zoo". We learn a lot of life lessons just from our pets. Maybe one day I'll tell you the story I wrote about our Betta Fish.  :D

Ok, I like you even more now, lol!  I have 2 love-birds (mating pair) and one of my very favorite fish that I had was a Betta!  Do tell!

My oldest daughter really loves the lovebird. His name is PeekABoo and he says his name all the time. He is less than a year old so he gets temperamental, but he's cute.
My youngest daughter loves her Betta. He is a deep red and she has trained him to follow her finger up and around the tank; but there is a cool story behind that fish. I will post it in "Wade in the water...applying the themes of The Shack to life"
