Morgan,
Your poems are so beautiful, gentle, heartwarming.  You are very gifted with writing as well as having such a deep deep faith, and love for all.  I am in awe of how you are progressing through your tremendous loss.
Love to you,  and prayers.

morgan0317:
thanks everyone!! my mom just wrote a poem too.

I'm not sure if I'm finished yet, but here it goes. I love you!

The day I got the news
I was completely knocked off guard
I wasn’t ready for this day
I took it rather hard

My little girl had grown up
And now with child her own
The circumstances not so great
But what was done was done

Over the next several months
The excitement found its way
I’m going to have a grandson
On St. Patty’s Day!

Although my daughter would argue
The labor went quite well
She screamed and cussed and yelled real loud
She said the pain was hell

But at that very moment
That Dylan’s face was seen
My daughter’s pain was set aside
Her face a sunshine beam

Never was she prouder
Than when she saw his face
That little angel God had sent
Had taken agony’s place

For the next five weeks this girl of mine
She doted on her boy
Feeding and snuggling, and loving on him
Dylan was her joy

Then one sleepless night
She allowed her boyfriend time
As she lay in bed, trying to get some rest
Exhausted from the crying

He took her son with good intent
To help with all the tears
But when he returned with a lifeless child
It was what every woman fears

We live in a world of evil
And it rears its head each day
The murder of my grandson
Satan thinks he’s gotten away

Anger and resentment
They’ve cut me like a sword
But vengeance is God’s to take
I’m standing on His word

Dylan, he’s with Jesus now
This I do believe
As he dances with the Lord above
Still I sit and grieve

As time moves on and God he heals
The wounds deep in my heart
I remember the joy that little boy brought
His memories will never part

My daughter though she’s struggled hard
Her faith in Christ is true
He’s lifted her up and given her strength
To press straight right on through

Her determination and her focus now
Is to help all those she can
Sharing her heart and story to them
This has been the plan

With all the strength and love in my heart
I’m screaming this so loud
Morgan you are so precious to me
And it’s YOU I am so proud!

Dylan, we will see one day
With him and Christ we’ll sup
Until we’re reunited with them
We’ll keep on looking up

Cathy4:
