new here. hello!
arus:
We are all big softy's here Jen, and can never get enough of the gushy stuff, lol. How long have you been married for? Sure sounds like you have a keeper there!
It's wonderful that your two little ones get on so well :) I always wanted a big brother but I ended up with a big sister instead, lol.
So what is it that you do, apart from being a mom?
Judy:
I had a big brother, Arus. They aren't that great until they get older. :blueangel:
But maybe I was a pest most of the time.
Mama2Times:
We married in September of 2007, which was 10 years after we first met!
I'm a SAHM to my kiddos, but aside from the day-to-day, I love reading. I'm an obsessive researcher, on lots of random topics, and I hope I never feel like I'm done learning. Once my daughter is big enough so that I can leave her for a few hours at a time, I plan to study to become a birth doula.
I live in a rather cold part of the country and I'm no fan of the snow, so I'm spending the winter months trying to stay warm. When it's nice out, we love to camp and swim and bbq. Nothing super exciting. We're pretty laid-back people. Except for when it comes to NFL football. Then we get riled up. :-)

I don't think that the "maybe" belongs in that sentence Judy ;D
Jen, I have no idea what a birth doula is? If you want some warmth, come here - it was 107F here today!!
Mama2Times:
A birth doula is a person (usually a woman), who is trained and licensed to coach and support a woman during childbirth. She can help with relaxation techniques, massage, etc. She doesn't catch babies, but is there to make the process less stressful and hopefully less painful. She also provides support to the woman's partner. I feel called to do this work and I'm excited for the time that I can get started!
