Hi my name is Amber.  I just finished reading "The Shack" and it touched me in so many ways.  I have a little story I would love to share....

  When I was about six years old, my (teen) babysitter was brutally murdered behind a Woolworth in Columbus, Ohio.  Her name was Christi Mullins.  I was too young to really understand what/why this happened, but it affected me deeply.  To this day, her murder has not been solved.  I am now an adult, and have found myself at different times through my life trying to understand.  I have even used a Ouija board to find out who killed her.  I know every one has different thoughts of a Ouija board, but I tried anyway.  Actually, the love of my life died in a car accident, and would come through each time and not let anyone ask questions.  He would, or someone saying they were him, would be the only one communicating. (We through the board away.)

Anyway, I looked up information this past year about Christi's death on the internet and found an article in the Columbus Monthly.  They decided to run the story again after ~30 some years.  After reading this story, I reached out and called Mrs. Mullins, Christi's mother.  I told her she didn't know me, but Christi was my babysitter.  I wanted to let her know I was praying for her and how much Christi meant to me.  She didn't know the story was republished, and said her case was never solved. I told her to pursue it once again because so many cold cases have been solved due to DNA and modern forensics.  I felt Christi was with me as I talked with her mother- just as I feel she is flowing through me to write this post.

My question to the forum is:  Should I pass this book forward to Mrs. Mullins?  I would love her to find peace, but I don't want to hurt her.  When I called she was so grateful, BUT would mailing this book be crossing the line?

Thank you for reading my thoughts.  Say a prayer for Christi and her family.  She forever lives in mine.

God Bless,
Amber

Amber your post got my attention. My beliefs are very spirtual and you may be a channel for Christi.Listen and she may guide you in her wishs.It is so sad that a sick person can take a life and walk away.
I would like to ask that you keep your preminations to yourself. Others may not understand.
You mention sending her mom the Shack. Do you still live in the same town. It would be very loveing if you took it to her in person.
You mention the OUIJA BOARD. People play with it and think it is a game.It is far from a game. It can be very dangerous to play with.One reason it can be dangerous is you have no control over the spirit that comes to you.Read the history of the board and you will see the dangers.
Your Christi has something to share with you.Go slow and make sure it is Christi by asking questions only she can answer.She more than likley will contact you during your sleep or in a very quiet moment.
Please keep  me advised what  happens and use my address of private reply here. Your unconditional friend (Morning Mist)

I think giving her a copy of The Shack would be a wonderful way to connect with her... I think with the personal connection you had with her daughter would mean she may receive it with a more open heart... but you would need to give it without any expectations... just a note or a few words saying how much it helped you... let it work for her if it is supposed to...

You may want to also contact the police department and ask about the case... many departments now have cold case personel and if there is DNA evidence, your call may spark interest in her case and get the ball rolling... sometimes that's all it takes.

let us know what happens...

Much Love Always... joe
