I read the shack because my boyfriend was reading the book, and I said why not, I used to be so cold with people who I love including God, I had some questions about him and I didn´t have faith, I had a strong problem in my life that I lose people that I love and I forget the book, but then after two days I started reading again and I found some phrases that God said to Mack that sometimes it looked like he was talking to me I started to change because that problem, and the book helped me to do it, I liked so much and I would like to share you some of the phrases that I like "growth means change, and change involves risks, move from the known to the unknown" I liked it because now I am experienced a change in my life that I want and I am ready to do because I want to grow as a person and face the risks that this involves. "Lies have many combinations, but the truth just has one way to being" and it is completely true and the reason that I mention many times that I loved the book and I liked so much It is because I learn many things and It opened my eyes to start a change about myself, about my feelings about everything, but the most important It´s about God I learned that He is always on me and I am always on him and wherever naively you feel good with lies because you are close to your feelings you don´t want to show your feelings .. but life is real enough to darken it with lies .. this is my personal opinion about the book ..  it opened my eyes .. to start changing . and it resolved all my dudes about God .. about my feelings.  Thanks

Hello Frida, and welcome  Smiley   I'm so glad you decided to pick the book up again!  I also managed to change lots of things in my life after reading this book, so I know how you feel.  How did your boyfriend enjoy it?

I am so happy to see that you posted, sorry that I missed your message when you sent it. I did reply to it tonight. It is wonderful that you have felt a change for better, I also have felt that change. I look forward to seeing you again on the forum. I am glad that your boyfriend was reading it or you may not be here yet. I said yet not that you would not have found your way here in the future. God is wonderful the way he has used this book to bring people together. I think more then anything everyone here has a mutual love for everyone here. You will see.

Welcome Frida.  I'm glad that you found The Shack to be an eye-opener.  Many of us feel that way.  Thank you for sharing with us.

     Peace.   angel
