I'm sorry that your brother keeps laughing at you. I think it's okay to be sensitive and people only call it oversensitive if they are insensitive. I am sensitive too. I don't think you are over-reacting and I can understand why you felt like crying. If people are on your side, they will care about how you feel and not put unhelpful labels on you like "over-sensitive". Your family have no way of knowing how people at Uni will feel about you and I bet you will find some who like you.
I hope your dad wanted to discuss things with you and was supportive of you. I hope your brother was distracted too.
Yes, memories do come up sometimes. You have mentioned fears before. We all have fears, only some people don't admit it or talk about them.
I know it's hard when people don't stick around, but there are many other important characteristics of friends too.
Lots of love, Cathy xx

I know it can be frustrating to be a worrier. I worry at times too.
I don't like parties either. Being careful with fireworks would be sensible.

Hi Amelia,
I think your family are incredibly insensitive and you're the normal one! I wish your brother wouldn't laugh at you and then act like it's nothing!
I agree with Peni. Your msn friend doesn't sound very supportive or helpful. If you want to talk with someone who would be supportive, why don't you try one of us on the forum who you feel comfortable with? Most of us are going to stick here around for a LONG time.
Have you decided what subjects you're going to study at uni? I pray it will all come together and that you will have a great time there!
How is your pain at the moment?
I pray God will fill you with His peace.
((((((((((((((((Amelia))))))))))))))))))))
Love and blessings, Sal

On the road of experience I’m trying to find my own way Sometimes I wish that I could fly away When I think that I’m moving Suddenly things stand still I’m afraid ‘cause I think they always will
And I’m looking for space And to find out who I am And I’m looking to know and understand It’s a sweet sweet dream Sometimes I’m almost there Sometimes I fly like an eagle and Sometimes I’m deep in despair
All alone in the universe Sometimes that’s how it seems I get lost in the sadness and the screams Then I look in the centre Suddenly everything’s clear I find myself in the sunshine and my dreams
And I’m looking for space And to find out who I am And I’m looking to know and understand It’s a sweet sweet dream Sometimes I’m almost there Sometimes I fly like an eagle and Sometimes I’m deep in despair
On the road of experience Join in the living day If there’s an answer It’s just that it’s just that way
When you’re looking for space And to find out who you are When you’re looking to try and reach the stars It’s a sweet sweet sweet dream Sometimes I’m almost there Sometimes I fly like an eagle and Sometimes I’m deep in despair Sometimes I fly like an eagle Like an eagle, I go flying high, ooh

Praying can be difficult at times, but it gets easier, the more you get to know God.
It can be a bit scary feeling like God is looking directly at us. When we repent of our sins and let Jesus become Lord of our life, that changes the way God looks at us (because of Jesus' sacrifice for our sins) and we don't have to be so scared of being seen.
In one way, it does feel normal to me to just talk to God, but it isn't the same as just talking to a person because He's GOD!
I'm sorry you had a headache and sore neck. I pray that you feel better. I wrote on my calendar that you were getting your legs checked today. Did that happen? How did it go?
Lots of love, Cathy xx

((((((((((((((((Amelia)))))))))))))))))) Thank you for telling us about your hospital visit. I hope the new insoles really help, even though they take some getting used to. I wear orthotics inside my shoes and I find that I don't get nearly as sore feet that way. I'm glad you will be having a follow-up appointment too. It's great that your head felt better today. Yay!! It is lovely that you have a new laptop and you are finding it good. You're welcome! Lots of love, Cathy xx

I haven't seen the new Karate Kid movie, but I saw the first 1980s one.
Having a mentor can be really useful, but not many people these days offer that kind of support and help.
I know that life is full of repetitive tasks and I guess some of them are boring or frustrating. We definitely learn from doing those kinds of things and it influences our character, but it's good to do some fun things too.
Lots of love, Cathy xx
