On the 24th of October 2009, I turned 40 yrs old. I celebrated this in style by going to Italy to stay with my sister near Venice. Having been brought up Jewish, I have distanced myself from any affiliation, as I look for the answers to many questions regarding organised religion and the validity of the Jewish people as G-d's chosen. In Hebrew School, we are not taught about Jesus at all and when asking members of family about the differences between "us and them", we are told that Jesus can't be the son of G-d, bc we are all his children. Anyway, I am going off on a tangent LOL!!!. On my sister's bookshelf in her apartment was "The Shack". I asked her about it and was given a short sharp response, "It's crap". My sister decided at a very young age, that Hebrew school wasn't for her and from the age of 13/14 has denounced the existence of G-d. Inspite of her advice, I felt a strong urge to read the book anyway. I loved every minute of it, the book was a page turner. I felt a warmth while reading it and although I am aware it's a fictional novel, I felt comfort in the idea of Papa, Jesus and Sarayu and their love for all. I am not a great writer of my expressions, but I felt there was a reason that at age 40 and still nowhere near "finding myself", I found this book, or this book found me and gave me the shake that I needed to improve the path I am on. I will try to be less judgemental, I will love without condition and I will try to live a more positive fulfilling life. A big thank you to Paul for re-starting my brain and of course for the Shack. I hope to check into Shackland often to share thoughts and discuss the book further.

Thanks arus  Cheesy.

I haven't disappeared and have been checking in almost daily. I am just preparing myself for writing a topic in one of the discussions concerning Dr Michael Youssef and his "The Shack Uncovered" speech on Youtube and on his website.
