A Confluence of Paths ... Shout Outs and New Members > Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (New Members)
Greetings From Indiana!
sheryl and Jesus:
Hi I am new to the site. I am nearing the end of "The Shack" and cannot wait to read the final page. I am a (forty-some year old)student, who has aspirations of writing her own book, but who knows if that will ever happen. WM Paul Young has been an inspiration to me. I like the way he made his book about relationships, because that's where it's at! I believe that his book was "God inspired". When I was reading chapter eleven, on judging it really made me think. The whole book is making me think. I realize that this is the author's interpretation of scripture, and it doesn't have to completely line up with my interpretation of scripture for me to enjoy it. It's a good read, and I'm glad I picked it up. If only there were more hours in the day to sit down and read.
Sheryl
P.S. I wish he would have included a picture of the transformed shack on the back cover (or somewhere)

hello Sheryl and greeting from California
welcome to the forum and the fantastic people here
I like your idea of the new shack picture, you could go to the "outbound Ripples (shout out)" and make that suggestion, ya' just never know, Willie may read it and like the idea too, maybe for a new edition or hard cover .
I too loved this book and am on my third reading, and I still go "wow, I get that now". There is so
very much to learn and I thank Papa God for His many ways of teaching us.
Hope you stick around and get to know the gang, this place is growing so fast, its awesome to read the many ways it touches peoples lives. God Bless
Alive In Christ,
Sue

Hi there Sheryl and welcome to the Shack forum and the incredible family here. I hope you will continue to share your experiences with "The Shack" and let us know the final outcome when you are done with it.

Hi Sheryl, and much welcomes here. Do let us know what you think when you have finished the book!!
sheryl and Jesus:
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I am still reading the book. I am almost done with chapter 14,and I must say it has been a difficult chapter. I picked it up this morning, before I had even had some coffee and I had great difficulty understanding it. All of that theology overwhelms me at times. I have always had trouble with English (even though it's the only language I speak). The trouble I have is understanding verbs and nowns. I hear things like that and my mind starts to shut down. It goes back to childhood I guess.Oh sure, I get that a noun is a person, place, or thing. And that a verb has to do with actiion, but it gets too complicated for me. I'll be glad when I am done with chapter 14. One more pageto go and I'll be there.
Thanks again for the warm welcome. Sorry I got sidetracked. Have a blessed day! I plan to.
Sheryl
