Hi Shelly,

I have this problem that I let people and their issues affect me and bring me down. It's something I am aware of and when I start doing it again, I try to keep it real, open and honest and let God know - because He allowed this bad thing to happen around me- to direct my emotions towards Him.But when I get hurt by someone I tend to shut down and hide away from God...like He would be ashamed of my pissy attitude.

But that is SO WRONG  :)   Cast all your care on Him for He cares for you-2 peter 5:7...the Psalms of David are full of this bold open and honest dialogue with God.

These past few days, I have been dealing with a work colleague who is seriously ill and may not make it - and I had a long talk with God about David and told God not to take David quite yet...David does not know Jesus, and has not experienced His freeing grace yet...

Just know that I am rootin for you Shelly and let's stay in touch on Facebook  ;)

Grace and Peace,

Chris

Hi Shelly,

I didn't like Romeo and Juliet much either - I like happy endings not tragedies!

Chris, I'll pray for your work colleague David. I hope he makes it.

Shelly & Andreas, I'm sorry for your loss.

I've always found these verses helped me:

Matthew 11:28-30 (Today's New International Version)

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Love workofgrace

John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Thank you Shelly for your kind thoughts, I think God has David in the best place right now, however I did not know that until after church yesterday...if Jesus is the creator and sustainer of the universe and everything else, His eye is on the sparrow and my friend David.

CU on Facebook sometime soon  ;)

Workofgrace - thanks for your prayers so much  :)

Chris

Hello to Heartbroken and to all others who have shared their dilemmas.I'd just likt to share a line I read in one of my Dev. this afternoon."Often a task seems beyond your power, but there is no limit to what you can accomplish with God's help.I only share that as I feel various one's of your pain with the situations you face.I also have a burden on my heart to do with a frind whom I love ever so much. They are not a relative or any thing such as that, but as a matter of fact they are someone I haven't personally met,but here in cyberspace.I have no choice but to put them in God's hands and be ever so willing to do wharever is
possible or whatever God provides for me to be of further help.It is the hardest thing to me in my life to see someone hurt and be limited and powerless as to the amount or worsely, lack of help I can provide.Blessings and love to you all.

Hi Shelly,

I had depression from when I was a young child but my parents never noticed - they were too caught up in their own lives I guess. Yes, it's really hard when they ignore our pain. I hope it's a step in the right direction that your mum has finally noticed your depression. I hope the natural meds help you. Praying for you.

Love and blessings,
workofgrace
