Hey Shelly,

Glad your sister is ok and not too banged up...the kindness of strangers is amazing...I often wonder what this world will be like when God's kindness is poured out less and less...I don't think there are any chances...just opportunities to see God's light shining through His people.

So the girl with the seizures is becoming less of an issue for you these days? Sounds cool...

Glad you liked the song by SevenSystem - I think it echoes the message of The Shack...

Those who wish to be
Must put aside the alienation
Get on with the fascination
The real relation
the underlying theme

"RUSH" - from Limelight off of Moving Pictures

Keep digging THE MYSTERY,

Chris

Hi sweetcheeks,

How did it go with the councellor? What are you up to this weekend? Got any plans? I have friends coming over for dinner tonight, so I'm furiously cleaning lol.  I had a wee accident at work last week, I burnt my finger really bad, and have taken a chunk of flesh out of it (GROSSS!), it's so yucky! I can't even look at it! I'm dressing it and stuff, but it makes everything I do so difficult cos I need my finger!

I really like that song Chris posted by SevenSystem.  I havent seen Slumdog Millionaire yet, but its on the to do list. I've seen Twilight 5 times with my daughter lol, shes seen it 11 times! Yes I know I know, act your age Jen! But its so much fun sharing something with Alex like that.  We have the soundtrack and the score, and shes teaching herself some of the music on the keyboard.  Clever cookie that she is.

What subjects are you doing this year?  Thinking of you sweetcheeks.

big kiss

Something promted you to reach out...in this forum. I really think it is alright to have more questions than answers, to be confused, angry- or any of the other emotions you are experiencing during this hard time. I am happy you found the book, and went further. Maybe you could check out some of the other recommended readings? The fact that you loved your friends so deeply that you are hurting the way that you are- tells me you are probably are the type of person, that will continue to make relationships with others important. Give The Shack to others you know. Talk. Laugh. Get mad- seems normal to me. I give you such credit for being so pro-active about your feelings and struggle. I wish you all the best along the way.

Hi sweetcheeks!

You know I do that too, bury stuff when it all get too much and too big for me to deal with.  I think us human beings instinctually shut down when the going gets really tough. Talking with the councellor is the best thing you could do my lovely. Don't worry about the tears, think of them as healing tears, that are bringing you teardrop by teardrop, closer to being free of your pain.

I'm nearly 40 angelcakes, and I think I'm pretty clear of the most ugly part of my childhood.  Take it from me, burying stuff all these years, does you no favours. It's much easier on your emotions and general wellbeing to deal with stuff as it comes up.

Now.. onto subjects... yours are almost identical to mine at your age! For a few exceptions.  I did Horticulture and Art, in place of Geography and Religion. Tell me about Religion? What does that entail? Do you study the most popular religions? Whats the content? That would be fascinating.

My finger is healing really well, I've been completely anal about cleaning it and dressing it, I don't want my fingernail to drop off!!!!!!!!!

Nice to hear from you gorgeousness. Any new music to recommend this old rock chick? LOL

big kiss

Hi my lovely!

I'd love to study religion, thats amazing its a core subject. So much better for getting thru life than some of the other subjects that are offered. I think it teaches tolerance and understanding of other cultures and peeps.  Do you enjoy it?

Thanks for the info on new bands, will check them out on youtube.  Not really into 'screamo's LOL! Prolly the heaviest I get is Queens of the Stone Age.  Have you heard of them? This is SUCH a great track...

Yes I remember Vonda Sheperd from her Ally McBeal days. What you up to this weekend? I might take the girls to see an outdoor  movie, in summer we have a giant movie screen  set up at my beach. Should be fun, provided it doesnt rain.  The weather has really turned, autumn is well on its way.

jen :)

Shelly,

That's such good news, you are dealing with the difficult stuff my friend  :)

I try to keep short accounts with people especially those that have given me grief and sinned against me...and YOU are facing this stuff and not stuffing it away. This is what Papa desires of us to get back to that level of trust and not hiding from him...like before the Fall in Eden...me thinks

have you heard the U2 song "The Magnificent"  ?

it has a lot more depth to it than Get on your Boots -

so what books are you reading for school?

Have a great weekend Shelly,

Chris
